HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY PROGRAMS
GED Preparation ClassesTop of Page
We offer free GED preparation classes in English and Spanish. We prepare you for the GED exam by offering courses in four areas: Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Literature. These are the same areas that you will be tested on during the GED exam.
A GED meets the same standard as a high school diploma. Both are required to qualify for all federal and most state financial aid. The California College Promise Grant (CCPG), formerly known as the Board of Governors (BOG) fee waiver, does not explicitly require a high school diploma or GED. Getting your GED certificate can make a big difference in your ability to get and keep a job.
We are also a Pearson VUE-authorized GED testing center. You can take the GED exam at Los Angeles Mission College. Visit our GED Exam page for further information.
