Who can enroll in the program?

Adults age 18 or older who have not earned a high school diploma are eligible. Some students under 18 may enroll with district approval.

What do I need to graduate?

To earn your diploma, you’ll need to complete specific course credits in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and electives. Previous high school transcripts can reduce the number of required credits.

How do I get started?

  • Register online or visit our campus.
  • Attend orientation.
  • Meet with a counselor to review transcripts and set up your learning plan.

How long will it take to finish?

It varies! Most students finish in 1–2 years, depending on how many credits they need and how quickly they complete courses.

Can I use credits from another school?

Yes! We accept transcripts from accredited high schools. Your counselor will help determine what credits count toward your diploma.

Are classes online or in-person?

We offer in-person, online, and hybrid options to fit your schedule.

Is the program free?

Yes! Most classes are tuition-free for California residents. Some minimal fees may apply for materials.

Is this a real diploma?

Absolutely. You’ll earn an official high school diploma from East Side Adult Education, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
